The Government Hill Historic District was created by Ordinance 95603, dated April 11, 2002. The property was a part of a large area rezoning initiated by the City of San Antonio was rezoned from "MF-33" to the current "R-6" Residential Single-Family District by Ordinance 2010-11-04-0971, dated November 4, 2010.
