DATE: May 24, 2018
The Transportation & Capital Improvements (TCI) Department will present a pre-solicitation briefing on the Design-Build Services for the San Antonio Police Department Substation & Park Police Headquarters Project, which was included in the Annual High Profile Report.
This pre-solicitation briefing will cover the solicitation type, estimated contract value, scope of the project, proposed scoring criteria, SBEDA Program requirements, evaluation committee members, and solicitation timeline.
The SAPD Substation & Park Police Headquarters is a 2017 Bond Program project approved by voters on May 6, 2017. The SAPD Substation & Park Police Headquarters will be approximately 33,000 to 38,000 square feet with associated parking facilities for police officers and the public. The SAPD Substation & Park Police Headquarters will house sections of the SAPD that are currently located on South Frio Street, as well as serve as the headquarters of the San Antonio Park Police, which is currently located in Hemisfair Park. The SAPD Substation & Park Police Headquarters will provide additional police presence and support to the citizens of San Antonio, particularly in the downtown area and the East Side. Additionally, there will be a small community room within the new substation that will be available to neighborhood groups or to host police department outreach events.
