SUBJECT:
Memorandum of Understanding with New Frontiers Public Schools
SUMMARY:
This item includes a briefing and Board action to approve a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) establishing New Frontiers Public Schools as a partner of Pre-K 4 SA.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Currently, Pre-K 4 SA has partnerships with eight independent school districts. MOUs are in place establishing the formal partnership between each of the school districts and Pre-K 4 SA.

New Frontiers is located near the South Education Center and a partnership is expected to positively impact student enrollment. Staff have worked with external attorneys, Thompson & Horton LLP to revise the existing partnership Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for this partnership.
This item requests Board action to approve the MOU between Pre-K 4 SA and New Frontiers Public Schools.
ALTERNATIVES:
If the Pre-K 4 SA Board of Directors does not act to approve this partnership at this time, services will be delayed until the new fiscal year when the Board of Directors is scheduled to hold its next meeting. New Frontiers would be unable to advertise the enrollment opportunity to families until that time.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The amount of revenue that would be generated through this M...
