SUBJECT: Post-Solicitation Briefing for Hardberger Park Land Bridge

DATE: June 19, 2018

The Land Bridge will connect Hardberger Park East and Hardberger Park West by crossing over Wurzbach Parkway. The bridge will be 150 feet wide and consist of walking trails, trees, grass, and limestone retaining walls. Trails will be ADA compliant and provide pedestrian and wildlife mobility through the Park. Additionally, a detention pond will be constructed to retain water for irrigation and electrical work for illumination will be constructed under the Land Bridge.

On March 12, 2018, a Request for Competitive Sealed Proposal (RFCSP) was released seeking qualified and experienced firms to provide Competitive Sealed Proposal for the Hardberger Park Land Bridge Project. The estimated cost for construction for this project is $19.0 Million.

The RFCSP was advertised in the Hartbeat, San Antonio Express News, and on the City's website on March 12, 2018. Responses were due April 18, 2018, and a total of six (6) firms responded to the RFCSP. A selection committee consisting of staff from the City Manager's Office, Transportation & Capital Improvements, Parks and Recreation and a Hardberger Park Conservancy Member evaluated and ranked the submissions.

The selection committee evaluated and scored the proposals based on the scoring criteria.
