Board action to approve a Professional Services Agreement with New Teacher Center (NTC) for District and Program Leader Services and Professional Development for Principals and Other School District Leaders in an amount not to exceed $77,400 for the 2018-2019 school year.
SUMMARY:
This item requests Board consideration authorizing the execution of a Professional Services agreement with New Teacher Center (NTC) in an amount not to exceed $77,400. The term of this contract is for a period of one year.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
New Teacher Center's Early Learning Leadership Program (ELLP) is designed to support school leaders in understanding early learning pedagogy and best practices as well as how to scaffold continuous teacher improvement. ELLP is designed for School leaders (principals, directors, assistant principals, central office administrators) who support and/or supervise early learning classrooms or are focused on early learning and elementary school alignment.
During the 2018-2019 school year, Pre-K 4 SA will be partnering with the New Teacher Center, Harlandale Independent School District and Edgewood Independent School District to offer the Early Learning Leadership Program to school and district leaders.
ISSUE:
Pre-K 4 SA staff requests Board consideration to authorize the execution of a Professional Services Agreement with NTC in an amount not to exceed $77,400. The term of the contract is for a period of one year for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year. The primary purpose of this Agreement is to contract professional services with NTC to provide Professional Development and training for Harlandale and Edgewood staff as well as for Pre-K 4 SA staff.
