CEO Update

This item includes a briefing of program and operational activities.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The CEO Update will provide information on various program activities.
• Welcome Week - During the week of August 20 - 23, new Pre-K 4 SA students and families had the opportunity to visit new classrooms for a half-day prior to the official start of school.
• First Week of School - The official first day of school was Monday, August 27. This will include a debrief of the daily schedule for students and general operations.
• Student Enrollment - Student registration began in January and has continued through the summer months. As of August 24, Pre-K 4 SA had received over 4,400 applications, marking a 10% increase from the previous year. Pre-K 4 SA accepted 2,055 applications by Day 1.
• Partnerships - This will include an update on partnerships with the San Antonio Food Bank and CHEF.
• Outreach and Promotion - Pre-K 4 SA staff participated in a variety of Back to School events and is preparing for speaking engagements throughout the fall semester.
• Grants - This will include an update on the status of 2018-2020 grants recipients.
• 4K for Pre-K - Pre-K 4 SA is introducing a 4K for Pre-K to kick off the Pre-K 4 SA Family Fit Program and raise funds for United Way.
