SUBJECT:

Amendment to the Faith Group Agreement for the Parking Area Surveillance project at the San Antonio International Airport


SUMMARY:

This Ordinance will amend the professional services agreement with Faith Group, LLC (Faith Group) in an amount not-to-exceed $93,248.00 for additional construction administration services for the Parking Area Surveillance project at the San Antonio International Airport. This amendment will increase the contract agreement to a value not to exceed $595,332.00 and is available from the Airport Improvement and Contingency Fund. This amendment is consistent with the FY 2019 Aviation Capital Budget document.


BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

On December 12, 2012 through Ordinance 2012-12-06-0935, City Council authorized a professional service agreement with Faith Group for design services in the amount of $164,175.00 for three IT and security projects: Parking Area Surveillance, Security Camera Upgrades and Communications Center Renovations. Previous amendments related to the Advanced Surveillance Program (ASP) of the TSA, a reimbursable grant program, increased the agreement to an amount not-to-exceed $502,084.00. Faith Group has completed their work on the Communications Center Renovation and Security Camera Upgrades projects.

The Parking Area Surveillance project requires additional construction administration services for the installation of video surveillance cameras, emergency call boxes and supporting network infrastructure for the last phase of the Parking Area Surveillance project for the long-term parking garage. Since 2012, the emergency call boxes have reached their end-of-life and additional elevators require video cameras than originally scoped.
