SUBJECT:

Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Mexicans and Americans Thinking Together Foundation, Inc. (MATT) and Pre-K 4 SA to provide one Project Manager for the purpose of administering the Puentes parental engagement program.


SUMMARY:

The MOA would transfer the Puentes program currently administered by MATT to Pre-K 4 SA. MATT would transfer all digital material that currently comprises Puentes to allow implementation of the program. Both parties will also work towards developing a measurement tool for the Puentes program along with related data collection that may be necessary to measure success of the program. Specifically, Pre-K 4 SA will provide periodic reports about the program to MATT to included number of participants actively enrolled, number of participants that abandoned the program, gender of participants, age and school year of their children.

All expenses and revenues related to implementing the program would be the responsibility of Pre-K 4 SA. However, MATT would provide funding of up to $35,000 to hire a Project Manager to administer the program. Pre-K 4 SA would utilize a temporary position to administer the program for one year.

Mexicans and Americans Thinking Together Foundation, Inc. (MATT) is a 501(c)4 organization whose mission is to facilitate essential learning strategies and tools to Spanish dominant families and individuals so that they may thrive in their school and work environments.

The Puentes parental engagement program has been an important part of their mission which takes into account cultural nuances of Spanish dominant parents and offers a curriculum tailored to increase parent engagement in Spanish dominant parents.
