LOCATION:
This project is located in central San Antonio; within the city limits. The SAWS CWIP- Segment 5-4 and Halm Blvd project extends within an area of central San Antonio from Olmos Basin through the Shearer Hills-Ridgeview neighborhood in central and northern San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas.

The project will consist of construction of new water distribution pipeline Segment 5-4 and pipeline relocation at Halm Boulevard. Proposed facilities for the overall project currently include a Terminus Site, pipeline routes, two pump stations and two pressure-reducing valve locations within an area of central San Antonio from Olmos Basin through the Shearer Hills-Ridgeview neighborhood. Project areas will be located within existing utility easements, easements or joint use areas to be acquired, or City fee owned property. Much of the pipeline will be installed by trenching or directional drilling/boring within previously developed and/or paved areas. The total project area is 5.995 acres. The Applicant has requested to participate in the SEP-HCP to mitigate impacts to the SEP-HCP Covered Species from construction activities. The draft mitigation determination detailing the project is attached and a summary of the mitigation needs is included below.
No acres of golden-cheeked warbler (GCW) habitat occur within the project area or within 300 feet of the proposed project route. The SAWS CWIP- Segment 5-4 and Halm Blvd will require a total of 0 GCW conservation credits (direct impacts at 2 credits:1 acre mitigation ratio = 0 conservation credits and indirect impacts at 0.5 credits:1 acre mitigation ration = 0 conservation credits).
