Appointments to the Conservation Advisory Board

 

 

SUMMARY:

 

Appointing Dr. Russell A. Persyn (Medina County), Jessica Alderson (Texas Parks & Wildlife Department), John Chisholm (San Antonio River Authority), Brock J. Curry (Edwards Aquifer Authority), Scott Randall Halty (San Antonio Water System), Rogelio Garcia (San Antonio Economic Development Foundation) and Dr. Francine S. Romero (Parks & Recreation Advisory Board) to the Conservation Advisory Board for the remainder of an unexpired term of office to expire May 31, 2019.

 

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

Nomination letters for appointment to the Conservation Advisory Board (CAB) were submitted to the Parks and Recreation Department.  All CAB applications were reviewed in coordination with the Office of the City Clerk and the City Attorney's Office to ensure that the applicants met the necessary qualifications for the board.

 

ISSUE:

Board appointments require full City Council approval.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no fiscal impact.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

In order to proceed with the direction of the City Council, the Office of the City Clerk recommends approval of the Board Appointments.
