SUBJECT:
Amendment to the THC Agreement, Inc. for the San Antonio International Airport
SUMMARY:
This ordinance amends the professional services agreement with THC, Inc., the Acoustical Treatment Consultant that manages the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)-sponsored Residential Acoustical Treatment Program (RATP), to correct an inaccuracy in the originally specified grant amount and increase the contract value by an additional $207,000.00 to a total increase of $6,267,000.00. Funding was budgeted and is available. This amendment corrects the contract amount approved by Ordinance No. 2017-06-29-0519.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
On June 29, 2017, City Council authorized the submission of a grant application and the acceptance of funds for a FAA Airport Improvement Program (AIP) grant in the amount up to $6,060,000.00 with the city's share of $1,515,000.00. The memo also requested the amendment of the THC agreement up to the full amount of the grant and city's match for their management of the noise abatement program including all design, construction, public relations, and legal components. Ordinance No. 2017-06-29-0518 for this item incorrectly stated the amount of the contract as $6,060,000.00, when it should have been $6,267,000.00. The amendment will correct the increase amount so the RATP can be fully funded.
