On-Call General Technology Consulting Services for San Antonio International Airport - The Aviation Department is seeking qualified respondents to provide on-call professional services consisting of General Technology Consulting Services. Increasingly, every aspect of an airport's operations from parking to environmental stewardship to security includes digital technology that is becoming more complex and requiring integration with other systems. The current on-call IT contracts used by the department have assisted but are limited by a restricted number of labor categories and design capabilities only to 10% conceptual design. These limitations do not allow for continuity for the project development and execution and have hampered staff's ability to negotiate and control costs.
The proposed contract scope will allow 100% design capabilities, including program and project oversight services, and more labor classifications to help control costs. Aviation is seeking to recommend two contracts budgeted each for up to $4 million with a total capacity of up to $8 million. The proposed contract term is three years with two, one-year renewal options.
