City Council Board Appointments by Mayor
SUMMARY:
Mayor Nirenberg is requesting the following Councilmembers be appointed to the Alamo Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO for terms of office to be concurrent with their terms of office:
A. Appointing Councilmember Shirley Gonzales (District 5), Councilmember Melissa Cabello Havrda (District 6), Councilmember Ana E. Sandoval (District 7), and Councilmember Clayton H. Perry (District 10) to the Alamo Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for a term through May 31, 2021.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
At the beginning of each City Council Term, the Mayor appoints Councilmembers to Boards and Commissions. Mayor Nirenberg has submitted said recommendations for the 2019 - 2021 City Council Term.
ISSUE:
Recommendations submitted require approval by the entire City Council.
ALTERNATIVES:
Appoint Councilmembers at a future City Council meeting.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact.
RECOMMENDATION:
In order to proceed with said appointments, the Office of the City Clerk recommends approval and placement on the June 20, 2019 City Council Agenda.
