SUBJECT: Pre-Solicitation Briefing for SA Tomorrow Sub-Area Planning Services - Phases 3, 4, and 5

The Planning Department will present a pre-solicitation briefing on Phases 3, 4, and 5 of SA Tomorrow Sub-Area Planning, which was presented in the Annual High Profile Report. This briefing will allow an opportunity for input and direction from Committee members.

This pre-solicitation briefing will cover estimated contract value, projected timeline, high profile designation, scope of the project, terms of the contract, proposed scoring criteria, evaluation committee members, project considerations, local preference program applicability, veteran owned small business preference program applicability, and SBEDA Program requirements.

The City's SA Tomorrow Comprehensive Plan emphasizes the need to strategically focus employment and housing growth in the City's 13 Regional Centers, aligning land use planning and infrastructure investment with economic development. These Regional Centers will be planned to offer a wide variety of employment-oriented uses, sites, infrastructure, and amenities. Some also can be developed into vibrant, mixed-use areas that offer the live-work-play environments that are attracting development and business nationally. In addition to the 13 Regional Centers, Planning Department staff has delineated 17 Community Areas across the city. Taken together, these 30 sub-areas encompass all of San Antonio.
