SUBJECT: Pre-Solicitation Briefing for the SAPD Facility at 2020 N. St. Mary's Street

Transportation & Capital Improvements (TCI) will present a pre-solicitation briefing on the Design-Build Services for the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD) Facility Project, which was included in the Biannual High Profile Report.
This pre-solicitation briefing will cover the solicitation type, estimated contract value, scope of the project, proposed scoring criteria, SBEDA Program requirements, evaluation committee members and solicitation timeline.
The SAPD Facility is a 2017 Bond Program project approved by voters on May 6, 2017. Originally, a $17.6 million design build contract was planned to deliver a facility, which would house both SAPD operations and the Park Police Headquarters and be located within the central area of the City. However, due to the amount of land needed and the limited available properties within the core boundaries, it was decided to split the operations and house the SAPD Facility project at the 2020 N. St. Mary's location and the Park Police Headquarters within Hemisfair Park.
Located at 2020 N. St. Mary's Street, the new SAPD Facility will be two stories and approximately 23,800 square feet with associated parking for police officers and the public.
