The following high profile solicitation is scheduled to be released later this month.
Underground Storm Drain Televising - The Public Works Department will issue a Request for Qualifications for the Underground Storm Drain Televising Project. The City of San Antonio has an estimated 700 miles of underground storm drain pipes that are in varying ages and conditions. In order to better prioritize pipe maintenance and replacement, a video recorded pipe inventory and assessment is needed. The requested services will provide the City with an inventory of data for the underground storm drainage pipes such as pipe size and material composition and surface storm water infrastructure, such as manholes, inlets, pipes, and culverts. The services also will include mapping of the underground pipe network and surface storm water infrastructure, as well as integrating the data into the City's asset management and mapping software systems. Also included in the contact is the cleaning of the storm drain system to facilitate televising of the storm drain pipes and improves drainage conveyance.
