SUBJECT: Consideration of High Profile Solicitation for Release

The following high profile solicitation is scheduled to be released next month.
On-Call Citywide Traffic Signal Optimization (Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvements Program) - The City of San Antonio aims to evaluate signalized intersections every five years to ensure that the signal timing is optimized for traffic conditions and possible operational enhancements. The City will issue a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to solicit for qualified engineers to provide on call or as needed traffic engineering services to include data collection and implementation of updated traffic signal timing plans along the City's top 100 high traffic corridors. The short term improvements as a result of the information collected may result in lane assignment changes or signal head changes and identify long term improvements to include in future bond programs.
