SUBJECT:

 

Consider a resolution appointing a member of the Planning Commission to an unexpired alternate term on the Planning Commission Technical Advisory Committee (PCTAC).

 

 

SUMMARY:

 

The PCTAC currently has one opening for a member and one opening for an alternate for a Planning Commissioner to fill unexpired terms as a result of the passing of Commissioner June Kachtik and the resignation of Commissioner Cherise Rohr-Allegrini.

 

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

 

The PCTAC is established to advise the Planning Commission on matters relating to the Unified Development Code, Major Thoroughfare Plan, and Transportation Plan.

 

The Committee shall consist of eighteen members.  Three members shall be appointed from the Planning Commission, one member shall be appointed from the following boards: Zoning Commission, Board of Adjustment and the Parks and Recreation Board. 

 

The open positions are for Planning Commissioner seats.

 

ALTERNATIVES:

 

The Planning Commission may choose to appoint a Planning Commissioner to position on the  PCTAC.

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

 

None.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

 

Staff recommends appointing a Planning Commissioner to both open positions on the PCTAC.
