SUMMARY:

 

Director to report updates on Neighborhood and Housing Services Department Programs.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

 

Each month the director prepares a report on program updates directly affecting the Commission and its charge.

 

ISSUE:

Topics to be discussed are: (a) Staff Responses to Questions from Previous Meeting; (b) Emergency Housing Assistance Program Update; (c) Evictions Update; (d) Commissioners’ Training; (e) Upcoming Meetings

a)                     Staff Responses to Questions from Previous Meeting

During the July 22 meeting, Commissioners asked for four (4) items to be addressed at a future meeting, and eight (8) questions.

b)                     Emergency Housing Assistance Program Update

Staff will update Commission on the status of the Emergency Housing Assistance Program.

c)                     Evictions Update

Staff will update Commission on the status of Court Evictions both within the City and County.

d)                     Commissioners’ Training

The Commission received some in depth training provided by the City Attorney’s Office

e)                     Upcoming Meetings

The next regular meeting is scheduled for September 23.
