SEP-HCP Application 20-003 - COSA PARD Howard Peak Greenway Eisenhower Segment Trails Improvement Project

LOCATION:
This project is located within the Eisenhauer Park, Camp Bullis, and Dominion Acres areas and is located within the city limits of San Antonio. The COSA PARD Howard Peak Greenway Eisenhower Segment Trails Improvement Project is located from Eisenhower Park to the Leon Creek Greenway and extends through the Leon Creek floodplain, in Bexar County, Texas.

The project will consist of the development of a trail system, and the Applicant has requested to participate in the SEP-HCP to mitigate impacts to the SEP-HCP Covered Species from construction activities. The draft mitigation determination detailing the project is attached and a summary of the mitigation needs is included below.

No acres of golden-cheeked warbler (GCW) habitat occur within the project area. Based on review of the construction plans, no GCW habitat within 300 feet of the proposed trail will be impacted by the proposed project. The COSA PARD Howard Peak Greenway Eisenhower Segment Trails Improvement Project will require a total of 0 GCW conservation credits (direct impacts at 2 credits:1 acre mitigation ratio = 0 conservation credits and indirect impacts at 0.5 credits:1 acre mitigation ration = 0 conservation credits).

The COSA PARD Howard Peak Greenway Eisenhower Segment Trails Improvement Project does not have any black-capped vireo (BCV) habitat and will not require any BCV conservation credits.

The COSA PARD Howard Peak Greenway Eisenhower Segment Trails Improvement Project is located over Karst Zone 1, Karst Zone 2 and Karst Zone 3 and totals 25.87 acres (5.79 acres within Karst Zone 1, 8.82 acres within Karst Zone 2, and 11.26 acres within Karst Zone 3).
