SUBJECT:

Appointments to the Conservation Advisory Board

 

 

SUMMARY:

Appointing Robert Puente (San Antonio Water System) and reappointing Brock Curry (Edwards Aquifer Authority), Dr. Francine Romero (Parks and Recreation Board), Rogelio Garcia (San Antonio Economic Development Foundation) and Jessica Alderson (Texas Parks and Wildlife) to the Conservation Advisory Board for the remainder for an unexpired term of office to expire May 31, 2021. 

 

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

Nomination letters for appointment to the Conservation Advisory Board (CAB) were submitted to the Parks and Recreation Department. All CAB applications were reviewed in coordination with the Office of the City Clerk and the City Attorney's Office to ensure that the applicants met the necessary qualifications for the board.

 

 

ISSUE:

Board Appointments require full City Council approval.

 

 

ALTERNATIVES:

Board Appointments will continue to be promoted by the Parks and Recreation Department.

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no fiscal impact

 

 

RECOMMENDATION:

In order to proceed with the direction of the City Council, the Office of the City Clerk recommends approval of the Board Appointments.
