SUBJECT: Bexar County River and Creek Program Resolution

At the Intergovernmental Relations Committee meeting on October 14, 2020, the Bexar County Governmental Affairs Office will provide an update on the Bexar County River and Creek Program.
On March 10, 2020, Bexar County Commissioners Court supported including approximately $240 million in the County’s FY 2021 budget to proceed with the Bexar County River and Creek Program. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, its associated social and economic impact, and the need to redirect funding to emergency response the County was unable to dedicate funds to the River and Creek Program.
On October 6, County Commissioners Court received a briefing on the status of the River and Creek Program and acted on a resolution expressing continued support for the Program and directing staff to examine funding options for its implementation.
