SUBJECT:                     Pre-Solicitation Briefing for Web Based Uniform Commissary

DATE:                     November 17, 2020

The San Antonio Fire Department will present a pre-solicitation briefing for the selection of a qualified respondent to provide a real-time web-based commissary for uniform personnel to purchase uniform items (e.g. duty boots, dress uniforms, work attire, pants, shirts, outerwear, and personal tools) which was included in the Biannual High Profile Report.  This briefing will allow an opportunity for input and direction from Committee members.

This pre-solicitation briefing will cover estimated contract value, projected timeline, high profile designation, scope of the project, terms of the contract, proposed scoring criteria, evaluation committee members, project considerations, local preference program applicability, veteran owned small business preference program applicability and SBEDA Program requirements.

The San Antonio Fire Department is seeking to contract with a vendor to provide and maintain uniforms that meet and/or exceed the current San Antonio Fire Department requirements as well as track employee’s individual uniform allotment per fiscal year. The estimated contract value is $6.95 million for a five-year term with two, one-year renewal options. The annual contract value includes an allotment of $500, per the collective bargaining agreement, for each of the 1,766 authorized firefighter positions with additional annual purchases for new cadets, badges and uniform embellishments for promotions.
