Director to report updates on Neighborhood and Housing Services Department Programs
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Each month the Director prepares a report on program updates directly affecting the Commission and its charge.
ISSUE:
Topics to be discussed are: (a) Update on Source of Income Discrimination
a) Update on Source of Income Discrimination
Staff presented an overview on Source of Income Discrimination (SOID) to the Planning and Land Development Committee on December 14, 2020 and shared options for how San Antonio could address SOID through a City ordinance. The committee was supportive of such an ordinance to address SOID. Staff will solicit additional input from stakeholders prior to returning to the Planning and Land Development Committee in February with a recommendation. Staff will present the preferred option to the Housing Commission for their feedback at the January 27th Housing meeting. The meeting will be held virtually.
