SUBJECT: ADDR-SNC-20-12700002: Street Name Change of Aviation Landing to Sous Vide Way.
SUMMARY:
Street Name Change Case ADDR-SNC-20-12700002: A request by Cuisine Solutions for approval of a resolution to change Aviation Landing to Sous Vide Way, generally located between City Base Landing and Lyster Road.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Cuisine Solutions Inc. is opening the worlds large Sous Vide kitchen at 8339 Aviation Landing and the development will employee over 500 people. The street name change is requested to reflect this institution.
Analysis and Notification Process:
This street name change was processed in accordance with Chapter 6 Section 672(d)(7) of the City Code that states although choices for names are unlimited, names may be selected to honor institutions.
This Street Name Change would require 3 address changes.
The segment consists of approximately two thousand eight hundred and eighty five (2,885) linear feet and 2 ground mounted signs.
Inter-departmental Technical Review:
All City Departments reviewed the proposed request in accordance with Chapter 6 Section 675 of the City Code. The technical review included:

In addition, the United States Postal Service approved the proposed street name change on October 29, 2020 in accordance with Chapter 6 Section 675 of the City Code and Chapter 35 Section 506(h) of the Unified Development Code (“UDC”).

FISCAL IMPACT:
The anticipated costs for the project totals $1,384.68. This includes an application fee of $1,010.00 and a notification fee of $9.00. All costs have been paid by applicant.
RECOMMENDATION:
This proposed street name change meets the criteria of Chapter 6 Section 672(d)(7) of the City Code. Staff recommends Approval.
