SUBJECT:                     State Legislative Update

During the Intergovernmental Relations Committee meeting, Government & Public Affairs (GPA) will provide an update on the 87th Texas Legislative Session. The update will include:

•                     Briefing of recent activity regarding the City’s top priorities; police accountability and transparency, public health, broadband access and connectivity, and local decision making

 

•                     Briefing and summary of House and Senate Committee meetings held and recent City of San Antonio testimony

 

•                     Summary of bills filed-to-date that are relevant to the City of San Antonio

 

To date, the Senate and House have filed nearly 4,000 bills. March 12th is the House bill filing deadline.
