SUBJECT:                     State Legislative Update

During the Intergovernmental Relations Committee meeting, Government & Public Affairs (GPA) will provide an update on the 87th Texas Legislative Session. The update will include:

•                     Recent activity at the state capitol, actions taken by City staff to support and oppose legislation, and a summary of issues and bills with momentum to advance through the legislative process.

 

•                     Briefing on the status of legislation filed in response to Winter Storm Uri and the resulting failures in the Texas power grid.
