SUBJECT:
An ordinance authorizing payment for Election Services for the June 5, 2021 Runoff Election with the Bexar County Elections Administrator in an amount not to exceed $725,000.
SUMMARY:
This ordinance authorizes payment for Election Services for the June 5, 2021 Runoff Election in Council Districts 1, 2, 3, 5, and 9 with the Bexar County Elections Administrator in an amount not to exceed $725,000.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The City entered into a contract with Bexar County for Election Services on February 11, 2021 via Ordinance 2021-02-11-0087 to conduct the General and Runoff Elections.
ISSUE:
Adoption of this Ordinance authorizes payment to the Bexar County Elections Administrator for conducting the Saturday, June 5, 2021 Run-off Election in Council Districts 1, 2, 3, 5, and 9 in an amount not to exceed $725,000. The final cost of the Election will be provided to the City upon the Bexar County Elections Office receiving invoices for expenses incurred from entities for performing required health and safety protocols at each early voting and election day voting site.
