Funding Agreement for Infrastructure Improvements at Stone Oak Parkway and Arrow Hill
SUMMARY:
An ordinance authorizing the execution of a funding agreement between the City of San Antonio and the Stone Oak Property Owners Association (Stone Oak POA) and accepting funds in the amount of $300,000.00 from the Stone Oak POA to fund the construction of infrastructure improvements and the installation of a new traffic signal, at the intersection of Arrow Hill and Stone Oak Parkway.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Stone Oak POA has agreed to partner with the City to complete infrastructure improvements to include the installation of a traffic signal at the intersection of Stone Oak Parkway and Arrow Hill in an effort to ensure the efficient flow of traffic through that intersection and in the surrounding area.
Stone Oak POA shall provide funds to the City not to exceed $300,000.00 toward the total cost to be incurred by the City to constructing the project. Stone Oak POA funding shall be used for the construction of a traffic signal, purchasing necessary materials, construction of pedestrian infrastructure, and the construction of the infrastructure necessary to provide electrical power to the intersection.
ISSUE:
This ordinance authorizes the execution of a funding agreement between the City and the Stone Oak POA and to accept funds in the amount of $300,000.00 from the Stone Oak POA in order to complete the infrastructure improvements at the intersection of Stone Oak Parkway and Arrow Hill. The improvements will provide for a new traffic signal, ADA compliant sidewalk wheelchair ramps, audible pedestrian crosswalk signals, and improved street lighting at the intersection. The new traffic signal will replace the existing all-way stop.
