Job-Order Contract: San Antonio International Airport Wayfinding and Signage Project-Overhead Signs

SUMMARY:

An Ordinance authorizing a task order to a Job Order Contract for the replacement of 34 and removal of two overhead roadway signs at the San Antonio International Airport (SAT) payable to Alpha Building Corporation (Alpha). Of the project budget of $650,000.00, $502,000.00 will be payable to Alpha for the overhead signage work and $148,000.00 will fund the design services for a taxi-cut out and concrete traffic median reduction to mitigate traffic congestion in front of the terminals. Funds are available from the Airport Capital Improvement Fund, as included in the FY 2017-FY 2022 Capital Improvement Program.

In an effort to improve the customer experience, the new markings and enhanced overhead roadway signs will improve traffic flow around the airport and ease wayfinding for our SAT visitors.
