Change Order: Salado Creek Tributary "B" Channel Stabilization Project
SUMMARY:
An ordinance approving a change order in the amount of $166,558.42 and authorizing payment to Curran Contracting Company for the Salado Creek Tributary "B" Channel Stabilization Project, an authorized 2014 Storm Water Regional Facilities funded project located in Council District 2, to extend the drainage channel reconstruction limits by a total of 200 feet to Pecan Valley Avenue.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
Project Background
This is an 2014 Storm Water Regional Facilities Funded project. This project provides for the replacement and demolition of the existing concrete drainage channel with a new concrete lined channel approximately 1,800 feet in length from IH-10 to Pecan Valley Avenue. Project construction began in March 2018 and is estimated to be completed by November 2018.
Previous Council Action
A previously executed contract with Curran Contracting Company for Salado Creek Tributary "B" Channel Stabilization Project in the amount of $1,125,187.72 was approved by City Council on January 18, 2018 through Ordinance 2018-01-18-0016. There have been no previous Change Orders for this contract. This change order will increase the contract by $166,558.42, to a total of $1,291,746.14. This will be the first change order for this project.
