Appointment to the VIA Metropolitan Board of Trustees (1 Slot)
SUMMARY:
Appointing Kristi Garza Villanueva to the VIA Metropolitan Transit Authority Board of Trustees for the remainder of an unexpired term of office to expire December 31, 2020.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The City Council Governance Committee convened on January 16, 2019 and recommended Kristi Garza Villanueva for appointment to fill one (1) slot on the VIA Metropolitan Transit Authority Board of Trustees for a term of office to expire December 31, 2020. Said appointment is to fill the vacant slot due to the resignation of Brian Dillard.
ISSUE:
Board appointments require full City Council approval.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact.
RECOMMENDATION:
In order to proceed with the direction of the City Council, the Office of the City Clerk recommends approval of the Board Appointment.
