SUMMARY:

This Ordinance authorizes a Sixth Amendment to the Ticketing Services Agreement with Ticketmaster, L.L.C., to provide exclusive event ticketing services for the Convention and Sports Facilities Department (CSF). This Sixth Amendment extends the Agreement term through September 30, 2019. Revenues generated from this agreement will be deposited into the Community and Visitor Facilities Fund.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

Ordinance No. 2009-06-25-0590, dated June 25, 2009, authorized the original Agreement with Ticketmaster, L.L.C., to provide ticketing services for CSF events at the Henry B. The City and Ticketmaster, L.L.C., agreed to amend specific provisions of the Agreement set out in the First through Fourth Amendments.

Ordinance No. 2014-06-12-0437 authorized the Fifth Amendment to the Ticketing Services Agreement with Ticketmaster, L.L.C., to exercise the five-year renewal term from July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2019.

On January 11, 2019, the City issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Automated Ticketing Services. The proposal distribution meeting was held during the month of March 2019. The intent of this amendment is to allow sufficient time to complete the solicitation process. All of the terms and conditions of the Agreement shall remain the same in this Sixth Amendment extending the term from July 1, 2019 to September 30, 2019.
