SA Tomorrow Area Planning Services Professional Services Agreement Amendment
SUMMARY:
Ordinance authorizing an amendment to the SA Tomorrow Area Planning Consultant Services Professional Services Agreement with Moore Iacofano Goltsman, Inc. pertaining to the Phase 1 Sub-Area Plans development and completion by extending the term from September 2019 to September 2020, with an option for an additional six month extension, to allow enhanced public engagement and creation of dual-language websites for an additional amount of $340,220.00, and for a total amount not to exceed $1,385,220.00.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The City of San Antonio is projected to grow significantly over the next two decades and developing a plan to accommodate that growth was the driving objective for the development of the SA Tomorrow Comprehensive Plan. The SA Tomorrow Comprehensive Plan was adopted by City Council on August 11, 2016. This Comprehensive Plan recommends the development of sub-area plans that focus analysis and policy recommendations to more specific geographical areas. The three types of sub-area plans identified in the Comprehensive Plan include Regional Center Plans, Corridor Plans, and Community Plans.
In Fiscal Year 2017, City Council approved Ordinance 2017-03-30-0169 authorizing the execution of a professional services agreement with Moore Iacofano Goltsman, Inc. (MIG), in the amount not to exceed $1,045,000.00 for consultant services pertaining to the development of the first phase of sub-area plans to implement the SA Tomorrow Comprehensive Plan.
