This includes a briefing of program and operational activities.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
The CEO Update will provide information on various program activities.
• Student Enrollment - As of July 17, 1,689 student applications for the 2019-20 school year are fully completed.
• 2019-20 Convocation - Pre-K 4 SA hosted the 2019-20 convocation for teachers and staff on Friday, August 2.
• Pre-K 4 SA Impact Study - In January 2019, Dr. Michael Villarreal, UTSA, presented key findings from the Pre-K 4 SA impact study. The report has been finalized.
• HB3 Impact - This item will include a briefing of the impact of HB3 on partner schools and grant distribution.
• Promotion and Outreach - Sarah attended CityHealth and the National Training Seminar for the Military Child Education Coalition. The Family Engagement Team has conducted and continues to participate in outreach including outreach for Gardendale, San Antonio Public Library Learn & Play events, Movies by moonlight at Travis Park, Come Play with Pre-K 4 SA, and Back to School events for City Council Districts.
