Consideration of At-Large Alternate Appointments to the Zoning Board of Adjustment

(6 Slots)

 

 

SUMMARY:

 

The Governance City Council Committee will convene to interview eleven (11) applicants to select candidates to fill six (6) vacant slots on the Zoning Board of Adjustment. The individuals selected will serve the remainder of the unexpired term of office to expire on May 31, 2021.  The individuals listed below are eligible for consideration:

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

The Board of Adjustment is composed of eleven (11) regular members representing each Council District and the Mayor; and six (6) Alternate Members are appointed by the City Council for overlapping two-year terms. There is no limit on the number of terms that may be served.

 

ISSUE:

Board Appointments require full City Council approval.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no fiscal impact.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

The City Clerk recommends forwarding the Governance Council Committee’s selection and that same be submitted for approval at the City Council Meeting on October 31, 2019.
