SUBJECT: At-Large Alternate Appointments to the Zoning Board of Adjustment (7 Slots)

 

 

SUMMARY:

 

An Ordinance appointing Anne Englert (District 1), Frank A. Quijano (District 1), Seymour Battle III (District 2), Kevin W. Love (District 9), Jonathan Delmer (District 10), and reappointing Arlene B. Fisher (District 1) and Cyra M. Trevino (District 7) as Alternates to the Zoning Board of Adjustment for the remainder of unexpired terms of office to expire May 31, 2021; as the Board composition has increased from six Alternate Members to seven.

 

BACKGROUND INFORMATION:

 

The Governance Council Committee convened on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 and heard brief statements from the applicants present.  The Committee provided recommendations for the above stated appointment to the Zoning Board of Adjustment as Alternates.

 

 

ISSUE:

 

Board appointments require full City Council approval.

 

 

ALTERNATIVES:

 

The Office of the City Clerk will continue to advertise vacancies.

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

 

There is no fiscal impact

 

 

RECOMMENDATION:

 

In order to proceed with the direction of the City Council, the Office of the City Clerk recommends approval the Board Appointments.
